Downtown Buffalo

If you are planning a trip to Buffalo I highly recommend coming in the summer months. One of the things that people do not know about the city of Buffalo is how much there is to do in the summer. After being cooped up inside for the winter the locals really know how to celebrate the warm months. There are several events that happen right in Downtown that can be a lot of fun.

The first is Thursday in the Square. Every a Thursday a concert is put on for free in Ellicott Square. Usually there will be a couple bands playing. In addition there are vendors there selling beer and food. The show is totally free and you can take the train right into downtown and get off right by the Square. Another great summer event in Downtown is the Taste of Buffalo. Here local restaurants are invited to come to main street in Downtown and set up a booth with small tastings of their items. You purchase a set of tickets and can go from booth to booth tasting different things. Lastly if you can go to the Wing Festival at Dunn Tire Park it is amazing. There is a chicken wing eating contest and wing vendors from around the nation.
