Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls, New York is in upstate New York across from Niagara Falls, Canada. It’s population is around 56,000, and is part of the Buffalo, New York metropolitan area. The economy of the city has always been centered on the falls, originally as industry using the power from the falls, and recently as a tourist destination for people visiting the falls.

The city can be reached by airports in Niagara Falls or nearby Buffalo, or through the airport in Toronto, Canada. There are actuall three different falls, two of which are on the Canadian side and one on the New York side. There are many tours of the falls, both by land and by air. Also surrounding the falls are many observation posts from which to enjoy their majestic beauty.

For those who just love to shop, there is a nearby outlet mall with hundreds of stores, and for more unique gifts, try the Three Sisters Trading Post on Main Street. For the food lover, there is a huge selection of international restaurants, but with its proximity to Buffalo, a visit wouldn’t be complete without trying the local buffalo chicken wings.
