Description
The Nye Park Tavern is a tribute to the classic tavern.
Historically, the local tavern has been a place for families to gather in a comfortable environment for good food and drinks. The delicate balance of relaxed atmosphere and high quality food makes for a friendly and memorable customer experience.
Our establishment, built in 1905, has a long history of serving Buffalo. It harkens back to the taverns of old, situated between the neighborhood and the factory. The Nye Park neighborhood began after the Nye Company bought and developed land used in Pan-American Exposition of 1901. When the Pierce Arrow Automobile Factory opened across the street in 1906, our building housed a tavern that served hundreds of factory workers and their families. After Pierce Arrow stopped automobile production in 1938, this establishment continued on as a neighborhood staple, surrounded by other manufacturing plants including the famous Gioia Macaroni Company. In the Nye Park area, many local plants run to this day.
Our foundation stands on the rise of Buffalo as the ‘City of Light'. Mark Hutchinson, Michael Haefner, and the team behind Hutch's restaurant wanted to bring back the classic tavern with a new touch.
We feature Buffalo pub favorites like Friday Fish Fry, Clams, Chicken Wings, Pot Roast, and an old secret recipe for our West Side Spare Ribs. We add a modern twist in our daily food specials.
Our bar has a full cocktail menu of classics and unique house cocktai
