My mom married a Naval Officer and we got shipped over to the island of Okinawa, Japan when we were very young. We lived there less than 2 years, the marriage failed and we came home.

My mom rekindled an old flame and he proposed to her within 2 weeks of finding her and starting dating again and she said yes! He moved us down to Florida but it didn't work out as planned so one by one we all moved back to Buffalo. They married the following year and have been together ever since.
